Frequently Asked Questions

Your comfort matters.
Whether it’s your first time or you’ve had bodywork before, these answers will help you know what to expect before, during, and after your session.

Do I Have to Completely Undress for My Massage?

Only to your level of comfort. I step out of the room while you get settled, and you’ll always be properly draped during your session. For the most effective work, I do recommend removing clothing and jewelry when possible, but your comfort and boundaries always come first.

How Do I Book a Session?

You can book online through my booking page. If you have questions before booking, feel free to reach out by email, call, or text.

What If I’m Running Late?

Please let me know as soon as you can. I’ll do my best to make the most of our time, but your session will still need to end at the scheduled time so I can stay on track for the rest of the day.

Can I Choose the Type of Massage or Tools Used?

Yes. Every session is customized to your needs, comfort level, and goals. We’ll talk before your session about how your body is feeling, and I’ll use the techniques and tools that best support you that day.

What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first visit begins with a short conversation about your health history, areas of concern, and what your body needs most. From there, your session is tailored to you so you can feel comfortable, supported, and cared for from the start.

What is Cupping?

Cupping uses suction to lift tissue, encourage circulation, and help areas of stubborn tension soften more deeply. It can be especially helpful for overworked muscles, chronic tightness, and places that feel dense or stuck.

What Is Gua Sha (Scraping)?

Gua Sha uses a smooth tool and targeted strokes to help release tight fascia, improve circulation, and support better movement through restricted areas. It’s a great option for focused tension and areas that need more targeted support.

What Type of Red-Light Therapy Do I Use?

I use red-light therapy as a gentle, non-invasive way to support circulation, recovery, and overall tissue health. It can be a great addition to a session when the body needs extra support for healing and restoration.

How Often Should I Get a Massage?

That depends on your body, your stress level, and your goals. Some clients come in regularly for ongoing support, while others book as needed. If you’re dealing with chronic tension or pain, more consistent sessions often help you get better results.

Do You Accept Insurance or HSA/FSA Cards?

I do not bill insurance directly, but you may be able to use your HSA or FSA card depending on your plan. I recommend checking with your provider if you’re unsure.

What to Expect After Your Massage

After your session, it’s normal to feel deeply relaxed, a little sore, or even a bit tired. Drink water, eat a good meal with protein to help with muscle repair, give your body time to rest, and try to avoid jumping right back into stress if you can.
